Man in front of camera smokes pipe as he leans over a table. He examines a piece of card. He puts a piece of string in a glass and mixes water with it, stirs it with his finger, pulls the string out and drapes it on the card (out of sight). Makes a big play of pulling out string. Cuts string. Rubs hands. Holds card up to camera on which there is a cotton picture of a flower.
Then by simple trick of camera film reversal we see close up of rope-made pictures being made before our eyes. First picture is of a bicycle, second is a frilly pattern.
