The Derby horse race at Epsom, Surrey, just to the south of London 1910's

Crowds watch horse drawn carriages arriving on the downs. Bookmaker's pitch "Frank Noble". He takes bets. Police and spectators walk by in foreground as the parade of horses and jockeys takes place in the background. Two men and look at the camera, one pointing. Horses canter down to the start. The start of the race. Rounding Tattenham Corner. The straight and run in with waiting crowds, quite a close finish. Crowds mill around as horses and jockeys are led away. Several mounted policemen. Man stands in foreground with a very large camera.
