Cheering up the homefront during World War Two.
Jack Buchanan held up in street by children in soldiers hats. Forced to tap dance. Children say hello to their brother in the army. Piano playing. Phyllis Calvert in bookshop. Signs books for wives' army husbands. Carroll Gibbons at piano. George Formby woman newsvendor. George Formby buys paper, talk about her 8 sons in the army. "We get all we need to eat". Cut to Blackpool promenade and Tower trams. George with banjo sings.
Wonderful army propaganda which shows women being worried and re assured about their loved ones fighting overseas.
