Bottle making in France 1900's - maybe wine bottles for the wine industry
Glass bottles are being made by hand blowing. Soon after 1909, machines started doing this work. The raw materials are shovelled by women workers loaded into wheelbarrels, sand, soda, lime are brought to the glass works and unloaded, waste glass is shovelled in sand the mixture is well mixed
Team of five men work together, one man gathers a gob of molten glass, at around 1500 c from the furnace and blows it into a cast mould to produce the shape of the bottle.
The finished bottles are inspected for flaws and the capacity is checked by filing them with water. They are packed and dispatched
