Synopsis:

An attempt to use a number of short clips from around the turn of the 20th Century.

The first movie plot is born. A women in voluminous dress is washing clothes in a wash tub. A child comes and pushes the tub over. -

Fatima's dance , a belly dancer, daring footage of 1890's Groups of people dancing. Crowds moving to and fro. Horseless carriages. Street scenes. Footage of the Wright Brothers and their first aircraft.

A famous beauty Lillian Russell. Enrico Caruso one of the greatest singers of the 20th century comes down some steps. He joins other men and sees the camera. They wave at the camera. Shots of Buffalo Bill Cody - he shakes hands with other men, Andrew Carnegie, bathing belles, McKinley's inauguration, San Francisco earthquake, William Jennings Bryan unsuccessful Presidential candidate. The broadwalk at Atlantic City. Flickering views of bathing belles. 20 seconds of the inauguration of William McKinley.

The San Francisco earthquake. Scenes of devastation. Teddy Roosevelt arrives in a car and speaks from an open air platform.

Kaiser Willhelm II of Germany enters a carriage followed by a dog. He reviews his troops. Franz Joseph of Austria alights from his carriage on a windy day. Czar or Tsar Nicholas II of Russia followed by most of the royal family. He reviews his troops. An Austrian battleship is torpedoed. Men are seen struggling in the water. A rowing boat rescues some of them.
