Land Development in Australia 1940's
Australian scrubland in windy conditions near Cape Jervis South Australia. Wooded area being cleared by big bulldozers. A huge 7.5 tonne roller is used for flattening trees. The tractor is refuelled in the field and has Shell oil added. After the flattened bush is burnt off, a plough ploughs the soil. A seeder plough is then used for finer ploughing while seed and fertiliser are added to the soil. The barren land is now shown as pasture with grass that a man, boy and dog walk through. A flock of sheep are herded on horseback. Native bushland has now been turned into agricultural grazing lands.
