King George V and Queen Mary Royal visit to the Midlands June 24th 1914.
Nottingham. Big crowds line street as royals arrive in procession of horse and carriages, cars follow. Close view of carriage and then halts and a footman opens the door and Queen Mary steps out. They stand at ceremony with dignatories including the mayor. Dignatories shaking of hands with Queen Mary and they all cheer. Royal couple leave. Guards on horseback. Royal carriage approaches and halts. 20,000 schoolchildren on the Forest wave handkerchiefs and give three cheers. Sailors march past. The Royal couple then visit to factory of Thomas Adams in Nottingham. Policeman stands on duty in front of crowd amongst which are Nurses in uniform.
