Amazing historical stuff here. The film starts at Kamloops Lake on the CPR line, just west of Kamloops. The next scene is in the Thompson River canyon between Ashcroft and Spences Bridge, and you can see a car going along the highway across the river - the road through the Thompson and Fraser canyons was pretty primitive then, and most people back then preferred to take the train.
