Live slide of cells preparing for division, then can visualise the chromosomes forming - they look like threads gathering towards the middle of the nucleus- metaphase stage. Clearly can see the chromosome pairs pulling apart from the centre to the poles. Cell divides after chromosomes reach the poles.
