Stars Stan Laurel. Goldmining in Alaska.
Prospectors. Man shoots with rifle at another man - he is carrying bag saying "$10,000 in GOLD". Hole shot out of it. Money falls out - notes and coins. Man turns and runs. Gold panning - close up of pan with boot and corset in. Stan has a go - calls others around him, catches fish in his big sieve. At second attempt he pans notes and coins. He calls prospectors to him and they frantically dig. Indoors, man strokes moustache. Meeting of men. Then, men on horseback outdoors. Gold prospectors get stuck up by men with arrest warrant "Spy" - close up of warrant. Stan snaps man's gun in half. Men put their hands in the air. Alaskan gold mining town. Car drives down street. Men argue and fight. Stan Laurel gets out of car. Fighting men start gun fight. Stan smokes pipe and walks over bodies lying in main street of western town. Woman runs at Stan from behind. Man shoots at them, so Stan protects her. Other man shoots her. She is shot on backside twice. Stan walks into bar / saloon. Blows his nose. Goes to bar, gets bottle of whisky, raises glass. Next to him is crooked baddie. They eyeball each other. Stan raises eyebrows. Man laughs and pulls gun out. Stan knocks gun out of hand and reachs for his pipe. Walks out. Stan walks down street in mackintosh and carries umbrella. He puts hand out, realises it is raining and puts umbrella up. Stan enters room - baddie in it. Stan closes door and turns key. Throws key to baddie. Stan tilts head and water runs onto head of baddie from Stan's sou'wester. Effeminate gay cowboy comes in reading a book. Henchmen emerge from doors and close-in on Stan. Pull guns on him. White mouse in close up. Stan screams. Men run away, chief baddie holds onto chandelier. Stan jumps onto chair. Stan rolls up shirt sleeves and throws gun away - other man pulls gun and they fight. Gun goes off. Stan bites other man's head. They wrestle on desk for the paper knife. Mincing cowboy enters and lifts Stan's head from the desk and takes piece of paper from the desk before mincing out again. Fighters stop briefly before resuming. Knife gets stuck in desk. Stan kicks other man up backside. He takes his jacket off. In fight, table collapses. Men roll on floor. Man bites other man's ear. Mincing cowboy enter and stands on chair and takes shirt off peg. Mens' hands grasp for gun on floor. Mincing cowboy comes in, picks up gun and put it in holster. Man picks up safe and throws it. Safe goes through door onto man's head who is holding others at gunpoint. He falls in water trough. Fighters fall through door into room of gay cowboy who is buffing his fingernails, blowing on his fingernails and adjusting his hair in mirror. Gay cowboy blows himself a kiss in mirror. Pillow fight with lots of feathers - both men fall through window onto boardwalk. Fight continues on dancefloor, with musical band of fiddle, piano and trumpet. Man falls against wall after being punched and kicked - bottles slide off shelf onto
head. Stan sits on stove. Man bangs hand on table - other man's hat flies up in air. Stan twists and stretches other man's arm (James Finlayson??) before finally winning. He nearly gets strangled. Goes to couple at table: "I've beaten up the Sherriff". They disapprove and walk off. Stan exits saloon - men ignore him. Camp cowboy leans out of window and drops flowerpot on Stan's head. Stan doesn't look too well. Stan carted off by street cleaners. He leans over back of truck.
