Nomadic Bedouin, their tents and domestic life, cooking, camels, a camel caravan near Jericho ( West Bank ). Arabs sowing seeds for crops and harvesting wheat. Mud built houses. Markets, fruit farm, crating oranges for export, rowing boats and big liners. Jaffa ( Tel Aviv ) port and Haifa dock yards. Bazaars and souks. Commentary is British and at the time of the mandate, protectorate. It gives a British attitude to the problems in the area at that time and quite bewildered as how to respond. It does however believe that the country has benefited from the civilising influence of Britain. Mosques. Jerusalem and the Dome of the Rock. Preparing food. The sea of Galilee. Interior of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. A Greek or Armenian Orthodox Easter mass or church service. Jewish feast of the Passover, the main ceremonies. Jewish people dancing on the beach. Kibbutz farming is compared to Arab farming . The whole film tends towards an anti Arab line and the commentary expresses a bias to the Jewish claims to the area. Building work in the New Jerusalem. The former Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini leads revolt of the Arabs.
