Synopsis:

Two girls go on a touring holiday in a Ford Anglia Saloon (IOO E shape). Marlow Bridge, Buckinghamshire, and a stop for refreshment beside the river Thames. Oxford, Oxfordshire, and a visit to the New College. Coaching Inn at Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, Stratford-Upon-avon, Warwickshire, the River Avon scenes and the memorial Theatre bookshop. Warwick Castle. boating on a lake and a visit to a 16th Century house. Locks at the Grand Union canal with narrow boats carrying freight going through the system, (traditional unmodernised lock gates etc). Broadway in the heart of the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire. Petrol fill-up with old style pumps. Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, a busy market town and its Abbey Church (historical details). The Wye Valley and its scenic beauty. Chepstow in Monmouthshire. Chepstow Ferry (pre-Severn bridge). Bristol and the Avon Gorge, the famous bridge. Bath, the Great Abbey. Houses in Regency splendour. Milton Street shops, the beautiful Royal Cresent. Wells via A371 and its charming little cathedral, a lovely city nestling beneath the Mendip Hills. Shepton Mallet. Glastonbury and St. Michaels Tower. Taunton, Somerset and a visit to the main Ford Dealer for a service for the car. Marianne and Jill now meet up with friends and transfer to a Ford Prefect (IO7E) and travel to Torquay via Seaton with some lovely coastal views. Finally at Torquay, Devon, they go water skiing. Scene of a Ford Zodiac Lowline model which dates the film to around 1960. The remarkable thing with this film is the virtually deserted roads in the scenes between places of interest. Traditional old type finger-road signs.
