Advertising film for Templeton Carpets. Man and woman mime in pierrot costumes mime throughout.
Couple in shop, discuss buying a carpet. Raw materials of wool and nylon. Carpet warehouse. Machine for blending wool and nylon. Sample tested on 'wear' simulation machine. Salesmen shows various styles. Area of heavy wear, stairs, lounge. Light wear, bedroom. Dying of yarns to various colours. Making tufted carpets. Weaving a 'Wilton' carpet. Punched card system of automated weaving. Quality control. Designers at work. The film is done in a hip 1970s funky manner and the carpets are mostly very loud and now would be considered very bad taste in psychedelic colours of awful combinations.
