Middle East Turkey and Iran 1920's
Film crew travel through Andorra, Turkey (and the snow coveredTaurus Mountains) to the Middle East. Journey of nomadic tribe Bakhtiari as they pack up their homes and families and trek to Iranian grasslands. They navigate the wide and fast flowing River Karun with their livestock and families, making rafts kept afloat by inflated goat skins. They trek through the mountainous terrain before reaching Zardeh Kuh, the tallest of the mountains in the Zagros range in Iran. The herdsmen hack their way through the snow and over the peak to the grasslands beyond for grazing.
