Roughly edited reel of high quality amateur home movie travelogue footage ranging from the 1930s to the 1940s (some possibly from 1920s - to be checked).
Shots of the harbour in Copenhagen, Denmark showing HMS Frobisher which was docked there around 1945. General views of street scenes of that city including trams and cars. Illuminations at night in Copenhagen from the early 1930s. Medium shots of the SS Arandora Star;( the ship that was later torpedoed in 1940 by a German U-boat, with the loss of 446 Italian lives, POWs being sent to Canada by Britain, Italy still holds Britain responsible for not flying a POW flag as the German commander Gunter Prien, would then not have fired at it ) shots of crew and passengers on deck. Travelling shot through Kiel Canal (possibly) in 1935. This reveals the Arandora flying the swastika flag. Shots of port and general street scenes from Hamburg, Germany (much from 1936?) and (possibly) old Danzig, Germany and finally a shot of a Soviet Baltic port. Moscow, Red Square Russia.
