Synopsis:

Motor car and motor cycle excitement.
Opening sequence: Miniature racing cars on track. Cut to workbench where one of the motorized cars is assembled. Close up of miniature spark plugs. Exterior: race track with these small cars being started up by their owners and set off to race. Cut to young boys driving larger versions of the same cars. Cut to soap box derby held in Akron, Ohio, U.S.A. Good shot of audience at track watching derby. Cut to very early shot of Hot Rods making their way over very rough terrain. In essence these early versions of Hot Rod cars are traditional cars which have been modified. Cut to motorcycle racing around a dirt track. Various bikers come to grief on embankments. Daredevil riders try to ride up a steep bank, but are unable to reach the top. Others negotiate very muddy terrain. Cut to jeeps riding over rough ground and crossing rivers. John Lobb's assaults on the world land speed record at Bonneville Salt Flats in the Railton Mobile Special. Ice is put into the engine to prevent it from over-heating. John Lobb (John Cobb?) who was later to die in a boating accident breaks two records and manages to establish a new record of 403 MPH.
