"Left, on mandolin and later on the tenor banjo is John Laby. I don't know who was playing piano. In the white shirt and making all of the sound effects and guitar is Rufus "Rufe" Davis. To his right, on guitar (wearing suspenders and a cowboy hat) is Neil Laby (C. Hoagland's grandfather). Lastly, on the far right is Arty Hall."
