Film shows the location of the city/port. It tells us that Halifax is one day nearer to Europe by sea than New York. It shows it has state-of-the-art handling facilities for cars, grain, timber and all kinds of goods and manufactures. It has a large rail network and is equipped to handle containers. It also has a section handling oil and oil products. By rail it is connected to all parts of Canada and the United States. The city airport is likewise well equipped for handling passengers and freight. The city houses the Bedford Institute of Oceanography. There are ships of all nations at the quays. Nearby Gypsum is mined and also shipped through the port. It has large storage areas. Nearby is a the Auto port which is especially equipped to handle the import of vehicles. There are strict security controls.
