Jim sets about pursuing his bride he wants to elope with her, with a Reverend in tow, while her father and a horde of lawmen pursue them both.

00:03:58 Jim helps Reverend Tobias Tubbs put on his new shoes as the Reverend sneezes and leans against a wall, Jim puts the Reverend's old shoe into the pocket of the Reverend's bathrobe. An industrial lot. Excitedly, Jim rushes towards the camera and off screen leaving the Reverend against the wall and sneezing. Jim approaches a pair of trousers hanging on a nail, grabs them, then looks behind him and smiles, pointing to the trousers or overalls. Reverend Tobias Tubbs smiles, nods yes, and waves. Jim takes the overalls. Jim hands the overalls to the Reverend and they debate, Jim exits the scene to the right in search of something. Jim crosses over train tracks and bribes a rail track maintenance worker.

00:04:31 Jim continues to bribe the rail track maintenance worker. Reverend Tobias Tubbs wearing overalls. Jim stands in the centre of the frame on the train tracks with his railway machine he purchased from the rail track maintenance worker. Jim rushes back to the Reverend and takes the Reverend by hand and they rush out of the scene to the right of the camera. Jim and Reverend Tobias Tubbs board the railway machine and start travelling down the tracks, away from the camera. Jim and the Reverend speed towards the camera on the tracks, Jim stops the train car and picks up a conductor's hat on the side of the train tracks, and puts it on the Reverend's head.

00:04:55 Jim and the Reverend continue travelling down the tracks. Point of view from the travelling train car of Jim and the Reverend travelling quite quickly along the train tracks (Jim is facing the camera and the Reverend faces away from the camera), Jim looks left and right at the tracks ahead. Derail sign. Jim panics and stands up, pointing ahead. The Reverend appears shocked. Jim pushes the Reverend off of the moving car. Jim disembarks the moving car, in anticipation that the train will derail however it continues travelling, much to Jim's shock, he tries to run after it, turns back and runs and gestures to the Reverend (out of the scene), then realises it is too late and they have lost the train car which has continued travelling on its own. The Reverend hobbles towards the camera, clearly physically hurt and in pain. Jim turns away from the camera and looks down the tracks. The train car speeds on its own down the tracks, away from the camera. Jim, facing away from the camera, throws his hands up in the air in despair. The train car travels in the distance along the tracks.

00:06:20 Jim and the Reverend walk along train tracks, walking away from the camera. Close up of the Sheriff or police officer watching and hiding behind a train car. Passengers disembark the train. Jim fishes a rock or small item out of the Reverend's ear, presumably lodged into his ear while travelling underneath the train carriage, Jim puts the rock onto the palm of his hand. Close up of the policeman or sheriff who walks out from behind the train car. Jim and the Reverend examine the small rock as the policeman approaches from behind, startling them, and they both make a dash to escape. The policeman drags the Reverend by the collar across the ground as Jim stops, then Jim grabs the Reverends legs so the policeman and Jim are literally in a tug o' war with the Reverend between them, Jim motions for the policeman to stop and they put down the Reverend, Jim hands the policeman money and successfully bribes him for the Reverend's release.

00:07:21 Mildred continues signing the ledger at the hotel as the two male hotel staff and her male companion watch, then her male companion signs the ledger as Mildred stands impatiently wearing a huge fox fur looking impatient, the hotel porter takes the keys from the hotel front desk employee. The hotel porter, the man, and Mildred walk up the stairs at the back of the lobby while the hotel staff stand at the hotel reception. A train travels on the train track in the background towards the camera, while the Reverend and Jim walk on the tracks, they turn behind them and see the train coming towards them, and initially turn to run in the opposite direction however Jim stops the Reverend and they turn back to the train and wave their coats and flags at the train in an effort to make it stop. Point of view from the train of the train conductor. Jim and the Reverend jump up and down waving at the train while standing on the train tracks, Jim pushes the Reverend to the left off of the track, the Reverend pleads to Jim to get him off of the tracks as the train speeds perilously close to him, Jim jumps off the track at the last minute, narrowly missing being hit by the train, Jim and the Reverend race along side the train as it comes to a halt, Jim jumps up onto the train but the train conductor refuses to allow Jim and the Reverend to board and pushes them off. Close up of Jim and the Reverend attempting to board the train but are pushed off by the conductor. The train begins to pull away, leaving Jim and the Reverend fighting and in despair on the ground, the turn around and walk to the back of the moving train and run to jump on the back. The train pulls away from the camera as Jim and the Reverend run behind the train and jump onto the caboose. 00:08:27 Jim and the Reverend enter the rear passenger car on the train, Jim pushes the Reverend down into a seat and sits down next to him in a chair, they talk and smile as the train ticket man approaches them, Jim and the ticket man start fighting. The passenger train car, a well-dressed man in a suit and tie sits facing the camera, he hears Jim and the ticket man fighting (off screen) and turns around. The ticket man demands a ticket from Jim, who is reaching into his pocket. The well-dressed man in the passenger car stands up and turns and walks behind him. The well-dressed man approaches Jim, the Reverend, and the ticket man and begins shouting at Jim, the well-dressed man takes the ticket man and leads him away from Jim and the Reverend. The passenger train car, the well-dressed man engages in an explanation with the uniformed ticket collector, he takes out money and pays the ticket collector for tickets. Jim takes the Reverend's coat off. The well-dressed man pays the ticket collector for the tickets. The train ticket collector approaches Jim who is helping the Reverend put on his jacket, the ticket collector hands Jim and the Reverend train tickets (paid for by the well-dressed man who, unknowing to them works for the Sheriff) who appear surprised, Jim stands up and exits the scene. Jim approaches the well-dressed man and thanks him for buying the tickets for him and the Reverend, they shake hands and begin to talk, Jim suddenly stands up and rushes back down the passenger car.
00:09:14 Passengers disembark the train, first the uniformed train ticket collector followed by various passengers, including Jim who walks down the steps then turns around to catch or carry the Reverend as he falls down the stairs, the Reverend grabs his foot then stands up and Jim helps him to walk away, but they are stopped by the Sheriff who greets them, they think he is a friend (the well-dressed man who bought their tickets stands and points at them in the background), they realise he is the Sheriff when he shows them his badge, and at first they don't believe him but then their faces turn to shock.

00:09:43 Jim and the Reverend struggle to get away but are unable to free themselves from the Sheriff, who holds them on each arm facing the camera, they exit the scene at left as the well-dressed man points and shouts to them, along with two train employees. The Reverend leans against a wall and takes off his shoe at the right of the scene as the Sheriff and Jim watch and stand next to him, while the Sheriff is distracted by the Reverend, Jim makes an attempt to escape by running out of the scene to the background, the Sheriff grabs the Reverend and they begin run after Jim but the Reverend falls down and holds his shoe, he puts on his shoe (as the Sheriff glances back towards Jim) and finally the Reverend stands up. Exterior scene outside a brick building (presumably the courthouse or jail), the Sheriff takes the Reverend up the steps towards the door and opens the door. Interior view of the jail from inside a jail cell with a bed to the right foreground of the scene, the Sheriff and the Reverend enter the jailhouse, the Sheriff opens the door to the cell and locks the Reverend into a cell in the foreground. Jim jumps over a wooden wall then runs off towards the background away from the camera. Jim runs from left to right in front of a stone wall, stops, looks behind him, then begins climbing up the stone wall and makes it to the top just as the three men approach from behind. Interior of the hotel lobby, Jim sees the Sheriff and turns back around and dashes out of the hotel before the Sheriff can see him. Exterior of the hotel, Jim exits the door only to run into the three men in pursuit, who chase him back into the hotel. Jim runs into the lobby and impressively hurdles over a tall man facing away from the camera and dashes up the stairs. Men chase Jim as he runs up the stairs in the background of the hotel lobby. Jim skids to a halt inside the corridor of the hotel, opens a window, and jumps out of it just as the men arrive. 00:12:01 Jim cautiously walks across the telephone wires, holding wires in each hand and walking across the wires as if on a tightrope, he stops and angrily shakes his right fist. The Sheriff and the three men in pursuit walk in front of a store and look up. Jim continues to walk on the wires but slips and falls, catching himself on the wires. The Sheriff and the three men look up, the Sheriff holds the men back by standing in front of them and holding out his arms. Jim falls again and struggles to get himself upright on the wires, holding his head and his hand on his heart. The Sheriff and the three men look up, the Sheriff gestures for Jim to come down. Jim manages to stand up on the wires and continues walking. The Sheriff and the three men in pursuit walk in front of a store and look up and point. Jim continues walking along the wires. The Sheriff and the three men in pursuit exit the scene to the left.
